Don’t look now, but it’s less than 100 days until the January 17 & 18, 2014 bridal show. I know, you’ve haven’t even picked out a Halloween costume, planned Thanksgiving dinner, made a Christmas gift list or decided what to do New Year’s Eve. Did I mention holiday cards?
With that reminder, you probably rolled your eyes, and possible cursed me. That’s OK, I can take it, but you’ll thank me later. Here are a couple things you should consider doing.
- Close out the tasks from the fall show. Complete the math, follow-up calls, and scheduled emails. Don’t leave any money on the table.
- If you haven’t already done it, book your booth for January. Winter show usually sell out. Beyond that, picking what you feel is the most favorable booth location is better done sooner than later.
- With some time since the last show, consider what you can do to improve your exhibit presentation and sales tactics.
- Buddy up for brainstorming: Get together with 2-3 fellow entrepreneurs and share ideas with each other. Both from within the show and outside the show. Anything you can share with a collaborator is a bonus.
There is always pressure, but when the show is three months out, there’s less pressure. Take advantage of it, and get a head start on early 2014 success.
